Cookie policy

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They serve a range of purposes — from keeping a page working consistently across visits, to helping a site owner understand how people use their site. Some cookies are set by the site you're on; others are set by third-party services embedded on that page. Under UK PECR, cookies that are not strictly necessary require your consent before they are set.
Cookies we set
The table below lists every first-party cookie set by aigura.co.uk. We keep this list up to date — if we add new cookies, this page is updated first.
| Cookie name | Category | Purpose | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|
| aigura_survey_variant | Strictly necessary | Remembers which version of our survey you were assigned so you see the same version on return visits. Without this cookie the A/B test cannot function correctly. | 90 days |
| aigura_cookie_consent | Strictly necessary | Stores your cookie preferences (accepted, rejected, or customised categories) so we don't show the consent banner on every visit. | 12 months |
| aigura_banner_dismissed | Strictly necessary | Remembers if you've dismissed the site announcement banner so it doesn't reappear on every page. | 30 days |
| _analytics (placeholder) | Analytics | Not currently active. If we add site analytics in future, the cookie name and purpose will be listed here before it is deployed. | — |
Third-party cookies
Our survey page embeds a form from Tally.so. When you interact with that form, Tally may set cookies on their own domain. These are outside our control — we cannot see or access them. Tally's privacy and cookie practices are covered by their own policy, which you can read at tally.so/help/privacy-policy.
We do not gate the Tally embed behind cookie consent because you navigate to that page specifically to fill in the survey — that constitutes clear, affirmative intent.
Managing your cookies
You can change your preferences at any time using the cookie banner (it reappears if you clear your aigura_cookie_consent cookie). You can also manage or delete cookies directly in your browser:
Bear in mind that clearing cookies will remove your saved preferences and survey assignment — the next visit will treat you as a new visitor.
Questions
If you have any questions about how we use cookies, email us at hello@aigura.co.uk. We'll respond within five working days.
